Hessen International Summer Universities (ISU)

Offered annually – June to August – Hessen International Summer Universities (ISUs) take place at various universities throughout the state of Hessen, Germany. They provide: interesting study programs taught by highly qualified German and international experts (Credits given on successful completion); German language courses for different levels; as well as excursions and cultural events.

Queensland-Swiss/German Exchange

Organised by the International Services Department of Education Queensland, the Queensland – Swiss/German Exchange is open to all students of German, French and Italian in Year 11.  The students are expected to host a student from their country of language in the June/July period and then are hosted for approx. 9 weeks in November to January, with applications open at the end of each proceeding year.

Society for Australian-German Student Exchange (SAGSE Qld)

Our volunteer-based organisation sends students in Years 10, 11 and 12 – from state and private schools – to and from Germany for 6 weeks each year during their respective summer holidays. The aim is for students of German to improve their language skills, to increase their cultural knowledge and to build friendships through immersion.
